Zero officially joined the Majick Feathers flock on July 6, 2024, and let’s just say—he’s already made himself right at home! This stunning male Red-Tail Black Cockatoo has a gentle nature, a love for shoulder rides, and a soft spot for just being with his people. If he had it his way, he’d probably spend all day perched on a shoulder, quietly supervising everything like the majestic, feathery overlord he is.

Zero came from a loving home, but sometimes life throws unexpected twists, and his carer had to make the heartbreaking decision to find him a new place where he would be safe, loved, and cherished. That’s when Majick Feathers got the call, and we were more than happy to welcome him into the flock. Since arriving, he’s settled in beautifully and has even buddied up with Horus, our other Red-Tail Black Cockatoo—because nothing says "new home, who dis?" like finding your very own cockatoo BFF.

Now, while Zero is as sweet as they come, he’s also a little unsure about new people and situations. So, while we’re training him to eventually join us in our public appearances, we’re taking things at his pace. As with all our birds, his welfare and comfort come first. Right now, he’s still in the “getting used to all this” phase, but we have no doubt that, when he’s ready, he’ll be out there showing off his gorgeous red tail and charming personality to the world.

For now, he’s enjoying life, bonding with his new flock, and perfecting the art of the shoulder perch. And honestly? We wouldn’t have it any other way!
