Meet The Flock – Daisy Duke

The Majick Feathers Flock

Daisy-Duke

Daisy-Duke is a Jenday Conure. She was adopted into the flock on 20/04/2021 & she is about the same age a Bandit. Daisy-Duke came to us from a home where she was well looked after but unfortunately their other animals did not get on with her and so they made the decision to rehome her.

When she came to us her wings had been clipped so she was unable to fly. Her wings have since mostly grown back now and she is able to fly but she lacks the confidence and strength in flight that Bandit has, but that has not stopped her from developing her own personality & she likes to boss Bandit around. And as was the case with Bandit she and Bandit are also known as “The Twins”.

Daisy-Duke is an absolute sweety and loves to sit on our shoulders and tell “storys” to us (mostly just garble & sounds but its funny) She does say “Kiss” & “Thank-You” but not extremely clear. She does like to give us a kiss on cue, usually followed by her saying kiss which is very cute. Most of the time Daisy is happy to interact with the public in the mobile aviary and will take treats, sit on shoulders for photos and “have a chat”, but as with all the flock it is gauged by her comfortability

Daisy is learning tricks, currently she can Target, Step-Up & Recall. She is currently learning to play basketball amongst other things. And she is being trained to Free-Fly.
