Majick Feathers offers an amazing show & display that is unseen anywhere else in Tasmania, we offer an experience that is more than just a zoo show & we bring our unique experience to you anywhere in Tasmania

Our setup comprises an interactive mobile aviary with a minimum of 4 native / exotic birds on display. We have 2 mobile aviary setups available, a 3m x 3m or 3m x 6m, depending on area available for setup. Patrons have the ability to come into the mobile aviary and offer their favorite bird treats, which are provided by us, as well as have photo opportunities with the birds as long as the birds are willing and comfortable to do so.

Our show engages and responds to the audience directly and goes through R+ training techniques as well as patrons being able to ask questions during the show

• Apollo – The Blue & Gold Macaw
• Luna – The Scarlett Macaw
• Horus – The Red-Tail Black Cockatoo
• Bandit – The Sun Conure
• Daisy Duke – The Jenday Conure
• Kichi – The Sulphur Crest Cockatoo
• Capone – The Sulphur Crest Cockatoo

We also do “Walk Arounds” with the birds on harnesses which further engages people and encourages questions and interaction. On a personal one on one basis outside of the mobile aviary show times with birds of the handlers choosing.

Our standard experience is a 2 hour session with show and photo opportunities

As well as all this, if there is an area deemed suitable by the handlers, it may also be possible to demonstrate free-flight – this is of course at the handler’s discretion and is not a guaranteed part of the experience

Our full day experience comprises a morning and an afternoon show of approx. 2 hours each as well as walkarounds and photo opportunities around the show times. Show times are flexible as long as there is a minimum 2 hour break between show times.The welfare and comfortability of the birds is our number 1 priority and as such the birds are never forced into interacting and there is a break time during the middle of the day for the birds, which is a natural rest time for them.

As birds are photoreactive, they “shut down” when night falls. Due to this we are unable to do provide night exibitions

Majick Feathers is fully licenced and insured and holds $20m public liability, and as far as we are aware to date, outside of a zoo, Majick Feathers holds the only permit allowing us display a Red-Tail Black Cockatoo in Tasmania

Travel Considerations for your event

If the venue is less than 1.5 hours travel time from the home base, the birds will need some settle time prior to the show start in order to get the best result for a fantastic experience.

For locations more that require Travel of 1.5 hours or greater, in order for the birds to properly respond and achieve the best experience for both them and your guests, we may need to travel the previous day. If the birds have travelled well and there was the opportunity to we would do a walk around on the arrival day as a bonus in order to give the best experience for your customers
